It's that time again where I share with you all the fabulously frugal things I've done this past week- hopefully to inspire you and show you ideas where money can potentially be saved.
Sunday:
Made buckwheat porridge for breakfast.
Went shopping and stocked up on a lot of items on sale, and only reduced rack produce.
Made homemade hot cocoa from scratch.
Monday:
Decluttered and found clothes for my boys to wear- I was just about to go buy new winter things but now had no need.
Had an at-home workout session.
Made homemade pizza sauce.
Made homemade mini gluten free pizzas for the kid's lunch.
Tuesday:
Made chickpea flour crepes.
Made homemade chocolate pudding.
Used free turnips to make a yummy salad.
Made a homemade vinaigrette.
Wednesday:
Made crepes for breakfast instead of cereal and milk.
Foraged mallow leaves.
Bought some incredibly cheap okra, chicken wings, ground beef, cottage cheese, milk, clementines.
Made chicken scrap soup with drippings and bones.
Made salmon scrap soup from salmon carcasses I picked clean for another meal.
Had an at home workout routine.
Got some hand me down household goods from a neighbor.
Thursday:
Used the salmon scrap broth with lots of different reduced rack and/or otherwise cheap veggies and made gumbo.
Friday:
Made shakes with foraged mallow in it.
Bought cheap dress shoes for my kids.
Got water kefir grains in the mail from a friend.
Used a snake to try to open up a slow drain, without needing to call a plumber
Saturday:
Had a great, at home workout.
What did you do to save money this past week?
