So, how does Vipon work?
You can go to their site, or download their app (also available in iOS and in the Google Play Store), both totally free.
Once you open the app, you sign in (you can make an account or sign in through Facebook) and then are presented with a few choices- featured deals, instant deals, coming soon, category, and profile.
I'm not exactly sure how the Instant Deals part works differently than the rest, but the featured deals shows deals that they want to highlight, and are good for browsing if you're not sure what you want, but honestly, from a frugal perspective might not be the best, because it's a good way to spend money (even if less than originally) on something that you hadn't planned on buying. Additionally from a frugal perspective, before you buy something with a Vipon deal, do a little searching to see if maybe there are items that have better prices without a discount than the Vipon item after the discount. Usually the deals are worth it, but comparison shop and check prices well.
The Coming Soon category is my favorite, because there are some deals there that are beyond amazing. For example, I saw a Magformers type toy that generally are 26 dollars, going on sale for 6 dollars, in 7 hours. What a steal!
Some stuff are nearly free! This memory card for only 95 cents in 19 hours. Practically free, and some items actually are free. In general though things are 20-80% off.
I am not the biggest Amazon shopper because shipping to where I live can get pricey, but I like that with the various items, there is mention about whether or not they are eligible for Amazon Prime.
Unlike many coupon sites that tend to just have deals on electronic accessories, Vipon has deals in s many different categories, from baby things to toys to clothing to food and groceries to household items, among many other things. I saw some great clothes I would totally wear being offered for a couple of bucks, a fraction of the already low price that they were to begin with, as well as some tools.
Surprisingly, I even found discounts on some groceries that I sometimes buy. I decided to check out how to use it and see if it worked.
I saw wood ear mushrooms being sold at approximately 50% of its original price. I clicked on it, and it gave me a coupon code, and then there was an option to click through directly to Amazon while copying the code, which was convenient.
It showed up in my basket at the regular price, but once I added the coupon code before checking out, I saw it gave me the deal price. It worked. Yay!
Right now there are thousands of items that you can save with via Vipon, so what are you waiting for- download Vipon today.
