My step brother changed my life.
Ok, that sounds a little funny to say, but in a way he did.
Ever since I met him for the first time and he was wearing a shirt that said “Sorry I’m late, I didn’t want to come”, I fell in love with those types of shirts.
I love humor, but I especially like snarky, snide, sarcastic, or dry humor, or humor that is poking fun of yourself.
My first shirt of that type was with that phrase exactly, but then I expanded my collection.
Buying snarky T shirts has been self care for me; its what I do when I feel I need a special pick me up. And my collection is awesome.
Just some of the shirts I’ve bought over the years:
“I used to be married, but I’m all better now.”
“I tried being normal once; worst five minutes of my life.”
“I’m here, I’m awake, don’t push it.”
“Adulting. 1/5 stars. Would not recommend.”
“Being a functioning adult every day is just a little bit excessive.”
“I came, I saw, I had anxiety, so I left.”
“Even my anxiety has anxiety.”
“You read my shirt; that’s enough social interaction for today.”
“If you don’t want a sarcastic answer, don’t ask me.”
“There’s a 99% chance I don’t care.”
“Today’s a good day to leave me alone.”
“Mom is temporarily out of service. Please try again later.”
Those are just a fraction of the shirts that I have. I’ve basically entirely switched over to wearing snarky shirts unless I need to be somewhere where I need to dress respectably.
These shirts not only make me smile, but they bring smiles to people’s faces that I meet. I’ve made friends through my shirts, since so many people find them relatable. Yes, I also have some mugs with snarky phrases, but then I don’t get to share them with the world like I do with my shirts.
One of my favorite shirts is one that says “My joints go out more than I do” because it is poking fun of one of my biggest challenges in life- my Ehlers Danlos Syndrome- as well as how often I am stuck at home and don’t see the world.”
I got that shirt from Redbubble, a website where different artists can upload images of theirs, which then can be made into T shirts, sweatshirts, stickers, mugs, clocks, coasters, and much else. There are so many disability related shirts there, but there were some that I wish were there because I wanted to wear a shirts like those.
So I decided that I’d make a Redbubble shop of my own.
So I did.
Wobbly and Weary because a lot of the shirt ideas I have are about disability and specifically my wobbly joints from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, as well as being burnt out from mental health issues, motherhood, and more. And as my therapist pointed out… most of these stuff are wear-y…
Since I’ve been a little stuck in bed lately because of my intracranial hypertention and a probable cerebrospinal fluid leak, I decided to use that time to make the designs I had been thinking about.
And I have lots of designs ideas. In fact I made a list of about 150 designs that I want to make. And I keep coming up with new ideas.
So far I’ve made about 60. Some of these are different variations of the same design, for the reason that sometimes when I see a T shirt I like, I wish it had a small variation and then I’d buy it. So why not do that for mine as well?
Uploading the designs onto the website so they show up in the store is time consuming, so I can’t do that as fast as I make the designs. But I have about 25 different designs up already.

This shirt, for example, makes me smile. Because, despite my learning how to dance for years, I’m still extremely clumsy. The foot is wrapped in a bandage because this person injured herself. She is either an injured dancer or a bendy person sitting on the floor in a funny position with a sprained ankle.

And for those of us with mental health issues or are neurodivergent, we’re so good at mental gymnastics, to the point that we definitely are the GOAT.

Here are some of my collections and some of my designs. Lots of self deprecating humor. They make me smile.
I’ve been asked in the past if there’s ways for people to donate money to my blog to say thank you for the work I put in, so I’ll say that buying a shirt or mug or stickers from my shop is a great way.
The cheapest items there are stickers, which you can get for as little as a dollar. And there are some t shirts that are decently priced enough.
I’ll be having a page on my blog with the ability to go directly to my redbubble store to buy things.
Enjoy!
