Cheap Bone Conduction Swimming Headphones Recommendation

If you read my recent post on challenges I overcame to go swim and workout regularly despite my disabilities, one of the things I mentioned is that I find it boring to do regular workouts in the pool, and buying bone conduction waterproof headphones made a big difference for me.

This was actually something I searched for, for years. There was one type on Amazon back then, but they didn’t ship to my country, and they were over $120 per pair.

I tried to find something on Aliexpress, twice, but both times were failures. The first time it claimed to be waterproof for swimming, but it was only water resistant, and the second time it worked about 2 times but then it died, because it wasn’t really good enough quality for use in swimming.

And then Amazon expanded their selection of waterproof headphones.

I needed specifically ones that were bone conduction, because anything inside my ears or pressing on my ear really hurts. So any waterproof headphones that weren’t bone conduction were out.

There are some headphones that are like headbands that go behind your head and then hook over your ears but, in my opinion, those aren’t awesome when using goggles, because it is yet another thing to need to put on around your head and might get cumbersome.

I ended up finding this pair that was only $37 that hooks onto goggles, which means it is easy to wear, and not a second thing I need to put on, especially since my face is already full of gear when I swim…

See, my snorkel and my goggles and my earphones…

I’ve been using this pair for 9 months and so far so good. Despite being a no name brand, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how long it has lasted me, compared to the Aliexpress ones I bought.

There is a bluetooth mode but you can’t use that underwater. There also is an mp3 mode where you load your songs directly into the headphones and then play them while in the pool.

I’ve found that it needs to charge after every 5 or 6 times I use it, which isn’t bad.

The sound quality is great.

The biggest down side is that switching songs doesn’t seem to work anymore on mine, so I just listen in whatever order comes on.

Having these headphones makes my swim that much more pleasant. Swimming laps is more enjoyable. Doing my hydrotherapy arm and shoulder workouts are more pleasant.

They’re affordable and I definitely recommend them.

I’m not getting any kickback from this company, I don’t even know the band name of it. I just wanted to give a recommendation of a product I love. These terrific bone conduction swimming headphones.
