I love travel. (Figured that out by now?)
My dream is to visit as many places as possible, exploring our vast and wonderful world. So far I can tick 13 countries off my bucket list – US, Canada, Poland, Belgium, Austria, Greece, Cyprus, Turkish Cyprus, Georgia, Romania, England, Bulgaria, and my local country. And for all of the ones I visited as an adult, I explored all of them but three (Cyprus 1/3 trips, Bulgaria, and Georgia) by public transportation.
Public transportation is the best way to see a country frugally, because even when a car rental is cheap, it still significantly adds to the budget. Car rental has its perks, allowing you to travel to places where there isn’t reliable public transportation, and it also allows you to see more places on your trip. But there are costs beyond just the car rental fee – gas, parking, and sometimes even tickets (which I learned the hard way in Bulgaria). Traveling by public transportation allows you to see other parts of a country that you wouldn’t necessarily have otherwise seen, and it saves a lot of money.
But one thing that isn’t frequently talked about when planning to travel by public transportation is your luggage. Even if you travel lightly and just are taking a small suitcase and a backpack, that isn’t something you’re going to want to be taking with you on tours, through museums, on hikes, etc… It makes travel that much more of a headache.
Yes, you can leave your bags at your Airbnb or hostel or wherever you plan on staying the night, and some places will allow you to drop your bags off earlier than check-in and pick them up later than check-out. But you aren’t always staying near where you’ll be traveling that day, and taking public transportation back to that location can eat a big chunk away from your touring time.
And that is where Bounce comes in.
On my trip to Crete, I used luggage storage while I explored Heraklion before traveling by bus to Chania. When my son traveled to the US, on his last day in New York before going to camp, he traveled from Long Island where he had been sleeping to Paramus, New Jersey, from where he’d be taking the bus to camp. He was traveling with a large suitcase, a small one, and a backpack, and he had a big day of touring planned in Manhattan. He found a luggage storage place near Port Authority so he could explore more easily.

If you’re traveling to England, finding luggage storage in London can be challenging, since you don’t know the area. But with Bounce, you just download the app and search for a convenient location. With over 20,000 locations across 100 countries and over 4,000 cities, you’re virtually guaranteed to find a place to store your luggage while you explore the city or go on a hike with your hands free.
So if, for example, you want to leave your bags near St. Pancras Station while you explore the British Library, the Canal Museum, and the British Museum before you go to the next part of your trip—the train to France—you can do so from anywhere from £3.90 and up. In fact, prices around the world cost only between $3.50 and $10 a day, with the more expensive ones being at airports, but usually no more than $7.50 per day. And there are many places that are open 24/7 so you can pick your bags up at any time of the night, but check the opening hours on the places you pick so you don’t get any surprises.
This low price is very convenient and it is why over 2 million travelers have stored over 6 million bags. But with such a low price is it safe? Yes, and there is up to $10,000 per bag protection so you can rest easy, knowing that your luggage is in good hands. As soon as you book online, bag protection activates and you can get a full refund for a canceled or changed reservation, up until drop-off.
Bounce is the world’s largest luggage storage network, with more than 20,000 locations across 100 countries and over 4,000 cities. Trusted by over 2 million travelers who have stored more than 6 million bags, Bounce offers a safe, convenient, and affordable solution for travelers looking to explore hands-free.
With easy online booking, up to $10,000 in bag protection, and 24/7 access at select locations, it gives travelers peace of mind while they make the most of their trip. Just book through the app or website, show your confirmation to drop off your bags, and pick them up whenever you’re ready. And if your plans change, you can cancel or modify your reservation anytime before drop-off for a full refund.
It doesn’t get more convenient than that.
Next time you travel, check out Bounce for your luggage storage needs to be able to enjoy your trip that much more. You won’t regret it.
